From Insight to Impact: Mapping the Psychological Impact of Interactional Technologies (From Video Games to AI Companions)

Join us on February 20, 2025, for an evening of engaging discussions at the TUM Think Tank as we explore the profound psychological impacts of interactional technologies—ranging from video games to AI companions. This event, part of the Friedrich Schiedel Fellowship program, presents key findings from the PSAIS project (https://www.ieai.sot.tum.de/research/psais/)  and introduces its Final Psychological Impact Map.

What to Expect

  • Keynote Address by Dr. Jaimee Stuart (United Nations University of Macau), project advisor on “Cultural Perspectives on Cyberpsychology and Human-Computer Interaction”. This keynote seeks to bridge the fields of cultural and cyberpsychology to enable more inclusive theory building and more effective and ethical design and utilisation of digital technologies across cultures.

  • Presentation of Psychological Impacts identified throughout the project by Auxane Boch.

  • An interactive Q&A session will be held to engage directly with the experts.

  • Networking Reception to connect with fellow participants and speakers over refreshments.

Discover how interactional systems influence psychological well-being, identity, and social dynamics, and gain insights into the framework aiming to shape the future of human-centric technology design.

Don’t miss this opportunity to join the conversation and network!
