Anmeldung zur Fachtagung Alpensalamander
Die Arbeitsgemeinschaft Feldherpetologie und Artenschutz der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Herpetologie und Terrarienkunde e. V. (DGHT) lädt gemeinsam mit der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Herpetologie (ÖGH), der Societas Europaea Herpetologica (SEH) und der info fauna Koordinationsstelle Amphibien und Reptilien der Schweiz (karch) zur Internationalen Fachtagung 2026 ein. Im Fokus steht der Alpensalamander (Salamandra atra) – Lurch des Jahres 2026.
Die Tagung findet vom 13. bis 15. November 2026 auf freundliche Einladung im Haus der Natur in Salzburg, Österreich statt.

Der Alpensalamander ist eine faszinierende Art der Hochlagen, die durch ihre juvipare Fortpflanzung und ihre Anpassung an alpine Lebensräume einzigartig ist. Angesichts der Herausforderungen des Klimawandels und der Veränderungen in alpinen Ökosystemen kommt ihm eine besondere Bedeutung im Naturschutz zu. Ziel der Tagung ist es, aktuelle Erkenntnisse zu Verbreitung, Ökologie, Gefährdungsursachen und Schutzmaßnahmen zusammenzuführen und praxisnahe Strategien für den Erhalt dieser Art zu diskutieren.
Neben Fachvorträgen und Posterpräsentationen wird es Gelegenheit geben, Erfahrungen aus Forschung und Naturschutzprojekten auszutauschen. Die gemeinsamen Abendessen schaffen Raum für persönliche Begegnungen. Eine Führung bereits am Freitagnachmittag durch den Amphibien- & Reptilienzoo im Haus der Natur runden das Programm ab.
Für die Teilnahme an der Tagung wird eine Teilnahmegebühr entrichtet (s. unten). Für die Zahlungsabwicklung und das Anmeldemanagement nutzen wir in diesem Jahr die Plattform eveeno. An diese ist die Gebühren zu entrichten. Die Tagungsgebühr dient zur Deckung der Unkosten. In dieser ist die Verpflegung in den Kaffepausen mit Getränken und Snacks inkludiert. Die Abendessen am Freitag und Samstag sowie das Mittagessen am Samstag sind nicht enthalten und erfolgt in Eigenverpflegung. Unmittelbar um die Tagungslokalität stehen zahlreiche Restaurants für die Mittagspause zur Verfügung.

Registration to Symposium on the Alpine Salamander
The Working Group on Field Herpetology and Species Conservation of the German Society for Herpetology and Herpetoculture (DGHT), together with the Austrian Herpetological Society (ÖGH), the Societas Europaea Herpetologica (SEH), and info fauna – the Swiss Coordination Centre for Amphibians and Reptiles (karch), cordially invites you to the International Symposium 2026. The focus of the meeting is the Alpine Salamander (Salamandra atra) – Amphibian of the Year 2026.
The conference will take place from 13 to 15 November 2026 at the Haus der Natur in Salzburg, Austria, by kind invitation of the host institution.
The conference will be held bilingually in German and English.
The Alpine Salamander is a fascinating high‑altitude species, unique for its viviparous reproduction and its adaptation to alpine environments. In light of the challenges posed by climate change and the transformation of alpine ecosystems, it plays an increasingly important role in nature conservation. The aim of the symposium is to bring together current knowledge on distribution, ecology, threats, and conservation measures, and to discuss practical strategies for safeguarding this species.
In addition to scientific talks and poster presentations, there will be opportunities to exchange experiences from research and conservation projects. Shared evening dinners will provide space for personal interaction. A guided tour through the new Amphibian & Reptile Zoo of the House of Nature on Friday afternoon will round off the programme.
Participation in the symposium requires payment of a conference fee (see below). For registration and payment processing, we are using the platform eveeno this year. All fees are to be paid through this platform. The conference fee covers organisational costs and includes refreshments during the coffee breaks (drinks and snacks). The evening dinners on Friday and Saturday as well as Saturday’s lunch are not included and must be paid individually. Numerous restaurants are located in the immediate vicinity of the venue for the lunch break.

Registration is possible until 8 November 2026.
You may cancel your registration free of charge until 28 October 2026. Unfortunately, registrations and cancellations received after 28 October cannot be refunded.
