We are delighted to invite you to a very special highlight at our university. On Friday, January 23, 2026, TEDxHM will take place at HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences (Lothstraße 64), under the theme Learning for a Responsible Life.

TEDxHM brings people together to share inspiring ideas, personal stories, and bold visions for the future. Our focus goes beyond academic knowledge. We explore learning for life: responsibility, failure, change, and how we want to shape our shared future.

Join us for an afternoon of powerful talks, thought-provoking conversations, and a creative, open atmosphere.

Cancellation is free of charge up to two weeks before the start of the event. From 10 January 2026 onwards, cancellation is no longer possible.

You must agree to our privacy policy and photo notice if you wish to register for this event.

As part of the registration process, your personal data will be processed for the purpose of planning and conducting the above-mentioned event.

The Munich University of Applied Sciences (HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences), Lothstr. 34, 80335 Munich, Germany, available online at www.hm.edu and by email at presse@hm.edu, is the controller responsible for data processing within the meaning of Article 4(7) GDPR. The Munich University of Applied Sciences is a public corporation and is legally represented by its President.

You are registering either by personal invitation or out of interest in the event’s topic. In order to register, you must provide the information required for participation via the above registration form. The required fields are marked with an asterisk (*). Only after providing this information can your registration be finalized.
The legal basis for the processing is Article 4(1) of the Bavarian Data Protection Act (BayDSG) in conjunction with Article 6(3) and Article 6(1)(e) GDPR for events carried out as part of the university’s public duties.

If you provide personal data in the optional fields of the form, you thereby give your (implied) consent to the processing of this data. The legal basis for this is your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) in conjunction with Article 7 GDPR.

Information on taking pictures: 

Please note that photos and videos will be taken during the event. 
The recordings will be used by the university for public relations purposes, in particular for publication in print media, on the university’s websites, on its official social media channels (Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram and TikTok), in digital newsletters, or in press releases.

By registering for our event, you give your (implied) consent for photographs and recordings taken during the event that include your image to be used free of charge, without temporal or geographical limitation, for the university’s public relations activities. The legal basis for this is your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) in conjunction with Article 7 GDPR.

Please inform our photographers if you do not wish to be photographed or if you have been photographed and do not consent to the publication of your image.

Your data will not be shared with third parties unless otherwise specified here. Data processing is carried out via Eveeno in accordance with our instructions and based on a data processing agreement (Article 28 GDPR).
