Reclaiming Our Compass in Times of Uncertainty

To lead a change-driven organisation today means navigating a landscape of shifting terrain, fragmented attention, and deep systemic complexity. When classical strategic roadmaps fail to match reality, leaders are often tempted to force known frameworks onto their environments to maintain an illusion of control. But how do we find a meaningful direction when there is no stable map?

This free 60-minute participatory workshop introduces Wayfinding: an embodied, relational approach to navigating uncertainty by learning as you go, drawing on internal and environmental cues. Hosted by Elsa Henderson and Jannik Kaiser, this gathering explores the processes of how we find our way considering how these can be translated directly into adaptive team and organisational strategy.

What We Will Dive Into Together

In this session, we will step out of conventional "predict-and-control" management logic into an adaptive stance that equips us to meet what's actually happening. Together, we will explore:

  • The Concept of Wayfinding: unpack how we can orient when the usual frameworks don’t fit. Explore ways of recognising emergent patterns, working at the edge of the unknown, and how to leverage habitual responses to inform strategic direction.

  • Regenerative Evaluation: Discover how to shift measurement and learning from a retrospective compliance burden into a strategic asset that supports real-time decision-making and strengthens adaptation.

  • The Impact Garden Framework: Get to know this open-source, visual framework as a hands-on blueprint to map out your team's internal health, resources, and external systemic conditions.

Continuing the Journey Together

At the end of our hour, we will briefly share a few values-aligned invitations for those who wish to actively apply these frameworks to their ongoing work:

  • The September Wayfinding Cohort (Hosted by Elsa): A practice-oriented deep dive starting in September, built specifically for leaders and practitioners, wanting to strengthen their inner capacity to hold uncertainty and guide themselves and others with greater steadiness and discernment.

  • The Trust-Based Philanthropy Lab (Hosted by Unity Effect): An cohort designed for foundations, funds, and impact investors who want to reshape the role of M&E, shifting from compliance and risk management towards an ally for power-sharing, portfolio learning, and trust-based collaboration.

  • Customised Systemic Integrations: For leaders and organizations that are curious to embed these ideas and frameworks into their official organisational workflows, strategy design, or internal teamwork routines.

Whether you are guiding a major strategic pivot or simply looking for a more adaptive way to lead your team, we look forward to stepping into this inquiry with you. Register below to join the conversation.
