Build A Better World For Women And Girls
9. European Interdistrict Zonta Seminar:
"Women and Finance - between Challenges and Chances"
Frankfurt, situated on the river Main, is a beautiful historical city in the middle of Germany, easy to reach by the International Airport, railway station and public transport system. Frankfurt is also a modern city with exquisit shops and splendid museums at the „SchauMain Kai“. Very well-known is the University of Frankfurt named after the famous German poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
Last but not least, there is Frankfurt's famous finance centre. Without difficulty, you will recognize the modern tower-buildings along the skyline of the city. Most of them are banks.
This long financial history delivers our seminar's motto: „Women and Finance - between Challenges and Chances“ and give us plenty of questions that will be discussed and answered.

11:40 - 13:00 Panel Discussion:
Women in finance are still an exception, especially at the top. But it's more than that - women seem to avoid financial questions in general, even at home. So what are we dealing with here - a gender bias or personal preferences?
We might be facing old boys clubs in traditional banking, but what is it that prevents women from founding a brand new Fintech company? Why do women leave personal investments, tax and pension matters to their partners? And most important of all: What does it take to change that? Or is the young generation of women already doing the math?
Host: Bettina Weiguny, ZC Bad Soden/Kronberg,(journalist and book author)
