ECHOFunds European Dissemination Event
Date: December 3rd 2025
Time: 09:00 – 15:30 CET
Location: Mundo Madou
Avenue des Arts 7/8, 1210 Brussels, Belgium
In the framework of the ECHOFunds project we are organising a European Dissemination Event, where we will share and discuss the findings of our project activities with stakeholders at the level of the EU.
The ECHOFunds project seeks to strengthen the alignment of EU funding processes with the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights by raising awareness, promoting good practices, and building a shared understanding and good collaboration throughout the funding cycle. The project is a joint initiative of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Fundamental and Human Rights (Austria) the European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research (Austria), the Centre for European Constitutional Law (CECL) (Greece), and the Institute for Law and Society (INPRIS) (Poland). Together, we aim to improve the compatibility of EU funds with fundamental rights and the EU Charter. Ensuring that fundamental rights are respected throughout the funding cycle (i.e. Multiannual Financial Framework/MFF) is a key step toward making those rights a lived reality for everyone in the EU.
The event aims at sharing challenges and good practises in implementing the so-called Charter conditionality in EU funding processes at the national level and together with participants discuss what we can learn from these experiences for the next Multiannual Financial Framework starting in 2028.
Who should attend: European non-governmental organizations active in the fields of human rights and EU funds monitoring, representatives of the European Commission, the European Ombudsman, members of the European Parliament as well as national stakeholders that had been involved in project activities at the national level.
