Mit der feierlichen Eröffnung des Lehr-Rechenzentrums „ROBERT“
(Rechenzentrum Ostbayern für Bildung und Entwicklung Resilienter Technologien)

setzt die Technische Hochschule Deggendorf (THD) einen Meilenstein für Forschung, Lehre und praxisnahe Qualifizierung in Zukunftstechnologien.

Nach mehrjähriger Planung im Rahmen der Hightech Agenda Bayern ist „ROBERT“ nun Realität: 

Dieses Zentrum wurde in enger Zusammenarbeit mit der Industrie entwickelt, um den steigenden Bedarf an Fachkräften für Rechenzentrumsmanagement, Künstliche Intelligenz, Quantencomputing und Hochleistungsrechnen zu adressieren. Seit Jahren arbeiten wir mit Industriepartnern eng an der Konzeption und Umsetzung, und sie werden auch weiterhin ein starker Partner sein. 

„ROBERT“ ist mehr als ein Rechenzentrum – er ist ein europaweit einmaliger Ort, an dem Forschung, Lehre und Praxis zusammenkommen.

Zusätzlich zur offiziellen Feier laden wir Sie herzlich zu einem Austausch mit Vertretern aus Hochschule, Politik, Wirtschaft und Öffentlichkeit bei kulinarischer Stärkung ein.

Wir freuen uns darauf, diesen Meilenstein gemeinsam mit Ihnen zu feiern. Wir würden uns über Ihr Kommen sehr freuen.

With the official inauguration of the ROBERT Research Computing and Data Centre
(Regional Data Centre of Eastern Bavaria for Education and the Development of Resilient Technologies),

Deggendorf Institute of Technology (DIT) marks a significant milestone in research, education, and practice-oriented qualification in future technologies.

Following several years of planning within the framework of the Hightech Agenda Bavaria, ROBERT has now become a reality.

The centre was established in close collaboration with industry partners to address the growing demand for highly qualified professionals in data centre management, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and high performance computing. For many years, we have worked closely with our industry partners on the concept and implementation of this initiative, and they will continue to play a vital role in its future development.

ROBERT is more than a data centre. It is a unique facility in Europe where research, education, and industry practice converge to foster innovation, knowledge transfer, and technological advancement.

In addition to the official ceremony, we cordially invite you to join us for networking and discussions with representatives from academia, government, industry, and the wider public while enjoying light refreshments.
