In this practice-oriented lecture, one case study on the physiotherapeutic care of patients with burns will be presented and analyzed. Using specific clinical situations, different degrees of severity and burn patterns, as well as the resulting diagnostic and therapeutic challenges, will be discussed.

In addition a pediatric neurological case study will be presented and discussed on base of the same criteria. The focus is on initial assessment and care, indications for specialized treatment and potential complications as the condition progresses. The case studies also provide an opportunity to understand therapeutic decisions and discuss typical challenges in interdisciplinary treatment.

The lecture combines theoretical foundations with practical experience and is intended to help build confidence in the assessment and treatment of both clinical conditions.
