German Translational Oligonucleotide Symposium

Welcome to the registration page for GTOS 2027.

The German Translational Oligonucleotide Symposium is a focused scientific and translational meeting dedicated to oligonucleotide-based therapeutic approaches for rare diseases. The inaugural 2027 edition will focus on rare neurological diseases and will bring together clinicians, researchers, translational scientists, industry partners, regulatory experts, manufacturing and analytics specialists, patient-linked perspectives, and implementation stakeholders.

GTOS 2027 is designed as a compact, workshop-oriented symposium. The meeting will not only present scientific progress, but also address the practical steps required to move oligonucleotide therapies from disease rationale and preclinical development toward clinical translation, regulatory pathways, sustainable infrastructure, and real-world implementation.

The three-day programme is structured around the translational pathway:

Day 1 | Wednesday, 14 April 2027 Pre-symposium workshops and opening
The first day will include registration, industry-sponsored and academia-initiated pre-symposium workshops, the opening welcome, the opening keynote, and an evening welcome reception with poster setup and networking opportunities.

Day 2 | Thursday, 15 April 2027 Scientific and translational foundations
The second day will focus on disease translation, preclinical translation, and clinical translation. Sessions will address indication and unmet-need-oriented approaches, ASO modalities, model systems, PK/PD, biodistribution, safety, biomarkers, trial readiness, and clinical strategy. The day will also include flash poster talks, a curated industry showcase, and a poster session with networking reception.

Day 3 | Friday, 16 April 2027 Implementation of ASO treatments
The final day will focus on implementation of ASO treatments for ultra-rare neurological diseases, including named-patient settings, regulatory and HTA development, quality and manufacturing expectations, evidence standards, translational infrastructure in Germany, and lessons from other countries, fields, and therapeutic modalities. The symposium will close with best abstracts, priorities for next steps, and working group themes.
