Mit dem von buildingSMART Deutschland organisierten und von Partnern entwickelten BIM Fit Check können Softwareunternehmen die BIM-Fähigkeit ihre Produkte in Bezug auf verschiedene Anwendungsfälle belegen – und ihre Lösung inklusive der Workflows live einem Fachpublikum präsentieren.
Inhalt
Der BIM-Standard IFC unterstützt viele verschiedene Aspekte des Datenaustauschs in der Baubranche. Die Qualität der IFC-Implementierung hängt von den Eigenheiten eines jeden Softwareprodukts ab. Um einen nahtlosen Austausch von BIM-Daten zu gewährleisten, müssen unterschiedliche Software-Tools jedoch reibungslos miteinander kommunizieren können. Dafür sollten die bereits vorhandenen Standards eingesetzt werden.
Durch die Lösung einer praktischen Aufgabenstellung im Rahmen des BIM Fit Checks mit einem klar abgegrenzten Implementierungsumfang streben wir danach, die Lücke zwischen den Bedürfnissen der Benutzer und der IFC-Implementierung zu schließen und gleichzeitig allen Teilnehmern ein spannendes Erlebnis zu bieten.
In der ersten Runde wird es im Mai 2025 um den Anwendungsfall „BIM und Georeferenzierung“ gehen.
Info-Veranstaltung
Vorab bieten wir hiermit für Interessenten des BIM Fit Checks eine Online-Info Veranstaltung an, bei der Fragen und Erläuterungen rund um die Aufgabenstellung der Softwarepräsentation geklärt werden können.
Wir bieten diesen Termin auch in Englisch an.
Folgende Termine stehen zur Auswahl (bitte melden Sie sich nur für einen Termin an):
• Dienstag, 25. Februar 2025: 8:00 Uhr oder 17:00 Uhr
und
• Montag, 10. März 2025 8:00 Uhr oder 17:00 Uhr
Die Teilnahme ist kostenfrei. Eine Anmeldung aber unbedingt erforderlich.
Die Zugangsdaten werden Ihnen dann seperat in einer Bestätigungsmail mitgeteilt.
Anschließender Ablauf und Vorgehensweise nach der Info-Veranstaltung
Anmeldefrist: 14. März 2025
Vorbereitungsphase
In Absprache mit den Teilnehmern bieten wir ein Support-Meeting (online) zur Klärung von Fragen zur Lösung der Aufgabenstellungen.
Durchführungsphase
• 8. Mai 2025: Die Teilnehmer am BIM Fit Check 2025 präsentieren auf dem 22. buildingSMART-Anwendertag 2025 in Essen live vor Fachpublikation die Lösung der gestellten Aufgaben zum Anwendungsfall „BIM und Georeferenzierung“
• 8. Mai 2025: Verleihung der Digital-Badges „BIM Fit Check 2025 – BIM und Georefenzierung“
Die Prüfkriterien
• Verification: Schema-Konformität und korrekte Grammatik – der Schlüssel zur Zertifizierung
• Validation: Erfüllung der Anforderungen, Informationstiefe und korrekte Attributprüfung
Teilnahmegebühr
• 600,00 Euro zzgl. der gesetzlichen Mehrwertsteuer pro Softwareprodukt (Mehrfacheinreichungen sind möglich, müssen jedoch einzeln angemeldet werden) inklusive einer Eintrittskarte für den BIM Champions-Abend am 7. Mai 2025 und den 22. buildingSMART-Anwendertag am 8. Mai 2025 in Essen.

With the BIM Fit Check, organized by buildingSMART Germany and developed by partners, software companies can prove the BIM capability of their products in relation to various use cases – and present their solution, including workflows, live to a specialist audience.
Content
The BIM standard IFC supports many different aspects of data exchange in the construction industry. The quality of IFC implementation depends on the specifics of each software product. However, to ensure a seamless exchange of BIM data, different software tools must be able to communicate smoothly with each other. To achieve this, the existing standards should be used.
By solving a practical task within the framework of the BIM Fit Check with a clearly defined scope of implementation, we aim to close the gap between user needs and IFC implementation, while providing an exciting experience for all participants.
The first round in May 2025 will focus on the use case “BIM and Georeferencing”.
Info event
In advance of this, we are offering an online info event for those interested in the BIM Fit Check, where questions and explanations regarding the tasks of the software presentation can be clarified.
We also offer this event in English.
The following dates are available (please register for only one date):
Tuesday, February 25, 2025: 8:00 a.m. or 5:00 p.m.
and
Monday, March 10, 2025: 8:00 a.m. or 5:00 p.m.
Participation is free of charge. However, registration is essential.
You will receive the access data separately in a confirmation email.
Subsequent process and procedure after the information event
Registration deadline: March 14, 2025
Preparation phase
In consultation with the participants, we offer a support meeting (online) to clarify questions about how to solve the tasks.
Implementation phase
• May 8, 2025: The participants in the BIM Fit Check 2025 present the solution to the tasks set for the “BIM and Georeferencing” use case live to an audience of experts at the 22nd buildingSMART User Day 2025 in Essen.
• May 8, 2025: Presentation of the digital badges “BIM Fit Check 2025 - BIM and Georeferencing”
The test criteria
• Verification: schema conformity and correct grammar - the key to certification
• Validation: fulfillment of requirements, depth of information and correct attribute validation
Participation fee
• 600.00 euros plus VAT per software product (multiple submissions are possible, but must be registered individually) including one ticket for the BIM Champions Evening on May 7, 2025 and the 22nd buildingSMART User Day on May 8, 2025 in Essen.
