Queer Empowerment Space: Resilienz / Resilience
[English below]

--------
Fancy spending an evening with other queer people at the university without having to explain yourself? Then come along to the next Queer Empowerment Space.
The Empowerment Space invites LGBTQIAP+ students and staff to come together in a safe space.
This afternoon, we’ll be focusing on the topic of resilience together. Through group discussions, a short meditation and physical exercises, we aim to develop and experience our own resilience.
Notes on the physical exercises
All activities are optional. The physical exercises are non-contact and can be performed regardless of one’s personal well-being or state of health. There is no judgement of bodies or abilities. All exercises can be carried out whilst sitting, lying down or standing. The use of music will be agreed with participants on the day.
Drinks and light snacks will be provided. You’re welcome to bring something of your own as well – either for yourself or to share. If you’d like, you can also bring your own yoga mat, a (hand) towel and a blanket. And, of course, anything else that helps you feel comfortable (cushions, comfortable clothing, etc.).
Facilitation
SaM Paulino (she/her) will be facilitating and leading the Empowerment Space. SaM Paulino is a social worker, an expert in gender and sexual diversity and anti-discrimination, and a trauma-sensitive embodiment coach. She has completed a two-year specialist training course in this field and also works independently as a trainer and consultant (www.sam-paulino.de, @sam.paulino_wuerdevoll.leben). Through her connections within the queer community, she is able to forge links and is an outspoken advocate for the visibility of the LGBTQIAP+ community.
