QuantWorld Platform Launch 2026
Interdisciplinary Research Colloquium & Public Launch
Quantum technologies are on the verge of widespread application and are set to fundamentally transform key sectors such as medicine, mobility, finance, and cryptography. At the same time, public understanding of these developments still lags significantly behind the pace of technological progress.
The QuantWorld platform launch addresses this challenge by bringing together research, education, and the broader public. The event will take place on May 7, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carl Friedrich von Siemens Foundation in Munich.
As part of an interdisciplinary early-career research colloquium and the official presentation of the QuantWorld platform, current developments at the intersection of quantum technologies and society will be presented and discussed.
What to expect
The event combines academic perspectives with practical insights into the communication and application of quantum technologies.
- Research presentations by early-career scientists
- Panel discussion: “Quantum Research and Society – Who Shapes the Future?”
- Presentation of the QuantWorld learning platform
- Artistic-scientific intervention
- Opportunities for exchange and networking
Who should attend
The event is aimed at researchers, students, educators, and an interested public who want to engage with the societal implications of quantum technologies.
