QuantWorld Hackathon Pitches
From Quantum Computing to Real-World Decisions
What happens when quantum computing meets real-world challenges, interdisciplinary thinking, and societal responsibility?
Join us at the TUM Think Tank on 30 October for the final presentations of the Quantum Hackathon 2026!
Throughout the Hackathon, interdisciplinary student teams have explored potential applications of quantum computing across four fields: Finance, Mobility, Life Sciences, and GovTech.
Their challenge goes beyond developing technical solutions. Students must also consider the practical feasibility, assumptions, limitations, and societal implications of their ideas. How might emerging technologies address real-world problems? What trade-offs arise? And what does responsible innovation look like when technological possibilities meet economic, institutional, and societal realities?
During the final presentations, students will share their projects, approaches, and insights, offering a glimpse into how the next generation is thinking about quantum technologies and their potential applications.
