Next Stop: Job is a an event series organized by the business development agencies of city of Bonn and the regions Rhein-Sieg and Ahrweiler in cooperation with the University of Bonn, Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, IU International University, Alanus University of Applied Sciences and RheinAhrCampus Remagen (HS Koblenz). With this series of events, students and graduates have the opportunity to network with potential employers in the region and get to know interesting companies, research centers or science organizations through digital events and on-site visits. We also regularly offer workshops on various career topics.

Weather shapes our everyday lives – from what we wear to how we travel, work and spend our free time. At WetterOnline, weather is more than a forecast: it is the core of a digital product used by millions of people worldwide.
Founded in 1996, WetterOnline is one of the leading providers of weather information in Germany and beyond. With around 160 employees across four locations (Bonn, Bornheim, Miami and Coventry), the company develops weather websites and apps that are available in over 35 countries and 32 languages. Every month, WetterOnline reaches more than 500 million page impressions. Although classified as a service provider, WetterOnline sees itself first and foremost as an IT company, developing all products in-house.
During this on-site company visit, participants will gain insights into:

different career paths and entry opportunities at WetterOnline,
real experiences from graduates who started their careers at the company through internships, working student positions or direct entry roles.
The visit will mainly consist of a presentation and an open exchange with WetterOnline employees, offering plenty of opportunity to ask questions about working in the company, required skills and career development.
