The target group of this workshop are PhD students, who are planning to work as postdocs and scientific (junior) researchers as well as those who are already working at universities or non-university research institutionss. By successfully participating in this workshop, participants can gain a competitive advantage in the highly attractive job market in R&D.

After the workshop, the participants should be able to come up with research-relevant questions (in teams) and be able to draft a research proposal

The first afternoon of the workshop consists primarily of an active lecture with insights from the long-term experience of applying for public funding. The second afternoon will be a joint session for reflection and evaluation of the project ideas which participants brought along. What has been taught theoretically will be discussed on the basis of the participants' project ideas, feedback will be given and the further procedure for submitting a proposal will be explained.
