Are you planning to pursue a doctorate or already working on one? Then you should familiarize yourself with the rules of good scientific practice. In this workshop, you will learn how to conduct, document, and publish your research ethically and professionally. You will also find out how to avoid common mistakes and conflicts, and how to deal with allegations of plagiarism. The event provides practical tips and examples to help you find constructive solutions during challenging phases and questions.
Lecturer:
Prof. Dr.-Ing. (habil.) Torsten Markus, was appointed Professor of Energy Technology and Energy Systems with a focus on Thermodynamics at Mannheim University of Applied Sciences in 2014 and has been Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering since 2019. He brought his research activities in the field of Functional Materials to Mannheim and, within this framework, laid the foundations for Mannheim’s operational research. Another intensive research area is the development of novel materials, such as those for 3D printing, using computer-aided materials science.
